The starter set was not a good value. While the sculpts are good and scaffolding fun, the included cloth being not the correct size for a full game was a real disappointment as it is now not really useful for much. The scenario book did do a good job teaching the game but there is not enough meat on the bones to last more that 30 minutes to an hour. The rafts the 3d prints came attached to made the process of removing them tricky and I felt like I was going to break key pieces. I also would have rather received two more models for 1490 doom so I could have 2 complete forces instead of the Pilgrim preview models. If I hadn't also gotten the pdf because I bought from buer, I would have felt even worse about my purchase. As it is, I'm fairly disappointed.

I have a pretty big game collection going back to the golden years of GW. I am a huge fan of starter sets. Starter sets don’t have to be big, or have a huge model count. What they should have is enough to immerse you in the world you are playing in, with the right amount of models, playing area or terrain, and rules. The fact that The Outpost of Meerbridge manages to do this in such a small package is amazing. I love the theme, and really looking forward to diving more into the game. Great work guys!

Great set, the rules booklet is well organized and takes you through everything you will need to know to play 1490 Doom. Shout out to the way you can use the frame your models are attached to as another platform.
I got this set last week and played through the three scenarios with a friend, we had a great time with it. Looking forward to grabbing a couple more minis and diving into the full game ASAP.

It was very well packed and they even threw in some bonus minis from thier upcoming game: Pilgrim. But the star of this experience was how fast it got to me. 3 days! That almost never happens with most game companies’ web store orders. Can’t wait for more great games and shipping experiences from Buer Games!
1490 Doom is a great little skirmish game that is way funner than it has a right to be.
This is a good starter box. Its not truly the full game, but its a playable start.
