The floodplain is drying out. The river pulls back a little further every season, and the green goes with it. Ferns brown. Horsetails wither. The herds starve.
What's left of the Tenontosaurus crowd onto the last strip of growth along the coast. A Pack of Deinonychus has followed them there. So has a pair of Acrocanthosaurus.
There is not enough meat for both.
The Narrowing Coast has everything two players need to start playing CARNIVORE, the dinosaur skirmish game: 14 resin dinosaur miniatures across three new species, the complete Core Rules, and a Quickplay Guide that gets you hunting in your first sitting. Play with full Packs on a 3' x 3' Territory, or halve them for a quicker game on 2' x 2'.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX
- 8 Deinonychus (Small Predator Pack)
- 2 Acrocanthosaurus (Large Predator Pack)
- 4 Tenontosaurus (Medium Prey Herd)
- 14 oval bases
- CARNIVORE Core Rules (complete softcover rulebook)
- Quickplay Guide (28 pages)
- 3 Genus Slates, one for each species in the box
- 6" ruler, made from the same resin as the dinosaurs
- 6 ten-sided dice
THE MODELS
All 14 dinosaurs are made from finely detailed resin, scaled for 32mm tabletop play, and come unpainted. They are big. The Deinonychus stand on 45 x 25mm oval bases, the Tenontosaurus on 75 x 42mm, and the Acrocanthosaurus on 105 x 70mm.
Every model glues to its base. The Acrocanthosaurus come in multiple pieces. Everything else is a single piece.
Each base is marked at the midpoint of its long sides, so front and rear arcs are clear at a glance.
THE GAME
Each player controls a single predator species. The Herd is controlled by no one. It grazes, wanders, and flees on Instinct, and every move it makes changes the hunt.
Fights are quick and decisive. Wounds linger. Anything that dies leaves a Carcass, and the Pack that Devours the most Meat claims the Territory.
Eat first. Die last.
YOU'LL ALSO NEED
Super glue, a 3' x 3' play area (2' x 2' for half-size games), and some terrain.
